Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to perform comprehensive maintenance, detailed diagnostics, and complex mechanical and electrical repairs on diesel engines associated with agricultural and construction equipment. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of modern diesel engine systems, advanced troubleshooting abilities, and a strong commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions using computerized testing equipment and precision measuring tools. Perform preventative maintenance (PM) inspections and service to optimize performance and prevent unexpected downtime. Repair, overhaul, and replace major components, including engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and emissions control systems. Conduct specialized repairs on brake systems, hydraulic systems, steering, and suspension systems. Document all maintenance and repair actions accurately and legibly on work orders and service records. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering strictly to all safety and environmental regulations. Continuously pursue training to stay current with evolving diesel technology, diagnostic software, and repair techniques.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is required; completion of an accredited diesel technology program is strongly preferred. Minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical service manuals. Demonstrated expertise in the diagnosis and repair of electronic control modules (ECMs) and complex vehicle electrical systems. Familiarity with maintenance management software and computerized diagnostic platforms. Possession of a valid driver's license; a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
