Job Description

Position Overview At True North Fleet Services, in partnership with trusted partner - PennFleet, are looking for a Diesel Technician who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and on the road. This role supports fleet uptime through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and quality repairs on heavy-duty diesel equipment. If you're a hands-on technician who values consistency, teamwork, and professional growth, this is a solid opportunity to build a long-term career. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on heavyduty trucks and trailers Diagnose and repair diesel engines, brake systems, suspension, steering, and electrical components Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electronic issues Complete DOT inspections and ensure compliance standards are met Accurately document repairs and maintenance activities Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Collaborate with drivers, service advisors, and shop leadership Qualifications 2+ years of diesel or heavyduty maintenance experience (fleet, dealership, or independent shop) ASE TSeries certifications preferred (T2, T4, T5, T6, T8) or willingness to obtain Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, not required) What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications Paid ASE testing and certification support Wage increases tied to ASE certifications and skill progression Consistent workload with modern equipment Training opportunities and access to diagnostic tools Stable schedule and longterm growth potential Why This Role Works This isn't just a wrench-turning job.
