Key Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up on repairs
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of truck and fleet equipment including but not limited to the following: Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Air Conditioning Systems, Fan Clutches, Engine Electronics, Power Steering Systems, Engines (gas and diesel), Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials, etc.
• Use basic hand tools, precision instruments, as well as power tools, welding equipment, and jacks
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other forms of documentation in a timely fashion
• Work with a high degree of independence
• Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times
• Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years Diesel Mechanic Experience
• Valid Driver's License required
• CDL-A preferred but not required
• State Inspection License required
• Demonstrate ability to work independently, multi-task and apply initiative
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Understand and implement instructions, guidelines, and pertinent information necessary to complete daily tasks and assignments
• Computer proficient and experience with a maintenance management system (i.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Must be able to move, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs with regularity and up to 100lbs on occasion.
