Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Bus Stop Technician supports the maintenance department and mechanics as follows in the description. This position reports to the Maintenance Manager at The COMET location: 3613 Lucius Road Columbia, SC 29201. Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned as necessary: Provides support to the Maintenance Department and Technicians (in accordance with established schedules) Vehicle washing Vehicle or facility cleaning Vehicle fueling Vehicle seat repair Fluid checks Facility maintenance Maintains a clean and safe work environment and brings any unsafe practices or conditions to the attention of Supervisor and/or Manager. Ensure all bus stops are properly cleaned and maintained in accordance with RATP Dev USA/The COMET standards. Records time and materials used for each assignment. Provides automotive repair and maintenance assistance to technical staff as assigned. Other Duties assigned by Maintenance Manager and/or Supervisor.
Requirements:
Interest in the automotive industry. Knowledge of requirements related to safe working practices and conditions and maintenance of a safe work environment. Basic knowledge of information technology and software programs to enter data and retrieve work orders. Valid appropriate licenses and/or certification required to operate company vehicles in assigned location.
Preferred Education, Residency, and Experience:
High School or GED required. Must have a valid Class B Commercial Driver License, with passenger endorsements. Must demonstrate a stable work history. Applicants should be prepared to provide additional employer information in cases where previous employment cannot be otherwise verified. Driving Record Driving records must not reflect moving violations within the last 3 years. Have a safe driving record with no DUI conviction during the past ten (10) years, verified by a third-party multi-state record check and no felony convictions for violent crimes.
