This is a first shift position. Work with a well-established, family-owned transportation company operating a private fleet of tractors and tanker trailers. We are looking for a dependable mechanic who takes pride in keeping equipment safe, reliable, and on the road. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel tractors and trailers Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, air brake, suspension, and related systems Repair and maintain brakes, wheel ends, lighting, air systems, and other trailer components Identify problems before they result in breakdowns Complete repairs accurately and efficiently Maintain a clean and safe work environment Document maintenance and repairs as required Help keep our fleet safe, dependable, and ready for operation Qualifications Previous diesel truck, heavy-duty equipment, or fleet maintenance experience preferred Experience working on Class 8 tractors and trailers strongly preferred Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills Knowledge of air brake and electrical systems Must have your own basic hand tools Welding/fabrication experience is a plus CDL is a plus, but not required Must be dependable and able to work independently Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

7am - 5pm, Monday -
Friday Pay:
