About Us Coastal Limousine is the fastest-growing transportation company serving Charleston and Savannah, SC. We operate one of the finest fleets of luxury limousines, vans, buses, and motor coaches in the region, serving a high-end clientele that expects exceptional service and reliability. At Coastal Limousine, safety is our top priority. We're looking for an experienced, dependable Diesel Mechanic to help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. Position Summary As a Full-Time Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing engine repairs, and responding to unexpected breakdowns. You'll work on vans, shuttle buses, motor coaches, and other commercial vehicles to ensure they remain safe, reliable, and road-ready. This position includes a fully equipped company service truck for mobile repairs and roadside service. Mechanics are expected to be available for weekend work when needed and participate in an on-call rotation for emergency repairs. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections on company vehicles. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, HVAC systems, and electrical systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and air conditioning issues. Respond to roadside breakdowns and emergency service calls using the company service truck. Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while maintaining detailed service records. Ensure all work meets DOT safety standards and company maintenance requirements. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including the company service truck. Work collaboratively with operations and dispatch to minimize vehicle downtime. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of three (3) years of heavy-duty truck, bus, or diesel mechanic experience. Diesel engine experience is required. Valid CDL is required. ASE certifications are a plus. Valid South Carolina driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and any required screenings. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding work. Schedule & Availability Full-time position Flexible work schedule based on fleet needs.
