Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, HVAC systems, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, alignment adjustments, and fluid checks to keep equipment in peak condition. Repair and replace critical parts including shocks & struts, air brakes, power tools components, and farm or industrial machinery parts. Fabricate custom parts or modify existing components using welding, soldering, hand tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other large machinery safely and efficiently during repairs or testing. Utilize automotive diagnostics software and electrical troubleshooting skills to identify issues accurately and implement effective solutions. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC units, and electrical wiring. Skilled in the use of schematics for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators or cranes is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling tires, shocks & struts, or other large components. Proficiency with power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other maintenance tools required for repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to communicate effectively with clients or team members. Valid certifications in automotive repair or diesel engine repair are advantageous; relevant licenses for heavy equipment operation are a plus.
