Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and various heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. If you are passionate about working with diesel engines and have strong technical skills, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and related vehicle systems. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in diesel vehicles and equipment. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and perform repairs. Test and inspect vehicles following repairs to ensure they meet manufacturer and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Comply with safety regulations and company policies. Communicate effectively with the team and customers regarding repair needs and timelines.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred). Certification as a Diesel Mechanic or in a related field is a plus. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques. Ability to work with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
