American National is growing! We are seeking a

DIESEL MECHANIC

for our Caddo Mills, TX terminal. We have been in the transportation industry for over 25 years. Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records.

Job Responsibilities:

Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair problems with medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks. Provide repair and maintenance to diesel and gasoline engines. Adjust and repair ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic and steering systems. Maintain and repair chassis, frames and bodies. Work with hoisting and jacking equipment, power tools, measuring instruments, gauges and meters. Lubricate equipment. Maintain and repair tires, batteries, brakes and valves. Performing all types of scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections on our fleet of diesel tractors and trailers. Perform shop management functions such as maintenance scheduling and spare parts inventory control; making estimates of material, labor, and equipment requirements. Must be available for after-hours emergency breakdown calls at night and on the weekends (Company will provide cell phone).

Job Requirements:

Five or more years diesel mechanic experience Texas Safety and/or Commercial Inspectors license(not required) Valid driver's license Must have tools Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools. Attention to detail Good interpersonal skills Excellent verbal communication skills Good organization skills
