Diesel Shop Mechanic Seeking a diesel shop mechanic for a full-time position. Shop is a dedicated maintenance and repair shop for a trucking company based out of Canutillo, TX. You will be part of a team responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of Peterbilt trucks and Wilson Cattle Trailers, ensuring they run efficiently and safely, while minimizing down time and meeting DOT guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel engines (CAT and Cummins), transmissions, brakes, suspension, tires and other critical systems. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Maintain accurate repair records and report any necessary parts or service. Ensure timely repairs and minimal downtime. Qualifications Previous experience working on diesel engines, especially CAT and Cummins. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid drivers license; CDL a plus but not required. Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish. Hiring immediately, pay will be based on experience. Formarás parte de un equipo responsable del mantenimiento y la reparación de una flota de camiones Peterbilt y trailers para ganado Wilson, garantizando su funcionamiento eficiente y seguro, minimizando el tiempo de inactividad y cumpliendo con las directrices del Departamento de Transporte (DOT).

Responsabilidades Clave:

Realizar mantenimiento preventivo y reparaciones en motores diésel (CAT y Cummins), transmisiones, frenos, suspensión, neumáticos y otros sistemas críticos. Diagnosticar y solucionar problemas mecánicos. Mantener registros precisos de las reparaciones e informar sobre cualquier pieza o servicio necesario. Garantizar reparaciones puntuales y minimizar el tiempo de inactividad. Requisitos Experiencia previa en motores diésel, especialmente CAT y Cummins. Sólidas habilidades de diagnóstico y resolución de problemas. Capacidad para trabajar de forma independiente y gestionar el tiempo eficazmente. Licencia de conducir válida; la licencia de conducir comercial (CDL) es una ventaja, pero no obligatoria. Se requiere hablar, leer y escribir en espaol. Se contrata de inmediato.
