BVR Waste & Recycling | Brannon Industrial Group (BIG) College Station, TX $25.00-$36.00 per Hour (Based on Experience) Full-Time | Monday-Friday Keep Our Fleet Running Strong BVR Waste & Recycling is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician to join our growing maintenance team in College Station, Texas. In this hands-on role, you'll help keep our fleet of commercial trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and heavy equipment operating safely and efficiently. From preventative maintenance to advanced diagnostics and repairs, you'll play a vital role in supporting our operations and minimizing equipment downtime. What You'll Do Diagnostics & Repairs Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial trucks, heavy-duty trucks, light-duty vehicles, and heavy equipment Repair and maintain: Diesel engines (Cummins, Mack, and other major manufacturers) Hydraulic systems Air brake systems Drivetrains and transmissions Electrical systems and diagnostics HVAC systems Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) to maximize fleet reliability Complete roadside and field repairs when necessary Utilize diagnostic software and scan tools to quickly identify mechanical and electrical issues Inspect components and determine the most cost-effective repair or replacement solution Fleet Maintenance Complete work orders accurately and document all repairs performed Inspect equipment to identify maintenance concerns before they become major repairs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Work closely with the Shop Manager to prioritize repairs and minimize equipment downtime Support company goals by maintaining a reliable and productive fleet What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a diesel, truck, or heavy equipment mechanic Strong knowledge of: Diesel engines Hydraulic systems Air brake systems Electrical diagnostics Experience repairing commercial trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and heavy equipment Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues independently Must provide your own mechanic tools Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety Reliable transportation to our College Station facility Preferred Qualifications Experience in the waste, recycling, or refuse industry Experience using diagnostic software including: Volvo Tech Tool Cummins
