What You'll Do Lead advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems (including CAN bus and ECM), as well as medium and light duty applications. Perform engine overhauls, rebuilds, and complex repairs with precision and efficiency. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and service manuals to troubleshoot intricate issues. Operate cranes and specialized equipment to support high-level maintenance tasks. Mentor and train junior technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Communicate expertly with customers, providing detailed diagnostics and service recommendations. Maintain meticulous records of repairs and maintenance activities. Drive process improvements and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
What You Bring:
High school diploma or GED. 5-10+ years of experience in heavy equipment, diesel, or hydraulic system repair. Expert-level knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Proficiency in advanced diagnostics and complex repairs (e.g., CAN bus, ECM). Ability to supply a full set of professional tools suitable for the job. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in high-pressure settings. Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle (mobile role). Ability to pass background checks. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
Preferred Qualifications :
Multiple ASE certifications, including T2 (Diesel Engines), T3 (Drive Train), T4 (Brakes), T5 (Suspension and Steering), T6 (Electrical/Electronic Systems), T7 (Heating, Ventilation, and A/C), and T8 (Preventive Maintenance) or Master Diesel Technician status. Lead technician, supervisory, or shop management experience. Proven expertise in field service or mobile repair. Strong communication and customer-facing skills, with experience leading projects on job sites. Why Transwest Mobile?
