Job Summary Amrod Fleet Services LLC is seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic - Semi Trucks & Trailers to join our growing mobile repair team serving the DFW Metroplex. This position is specifically focused on the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty commercial trucks, semi trucks/18-wheelers, tractor-trailers, and commercial trailers. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems across various heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, air brake inspections, wheel alignments, and shock & strut replacements to uphold vehicle safety standards. Fabricate and modify components using welding, hand tools, power tools, and schematics to meet specific repair or customization needs. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes to accurately identify issues and execute precise repairs on automotive systems. Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent customer service. Accurately identify mechanical and electrical problems and determine appropriate repairs. Experience Must have a valid driver's license. Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic. Ability to independently identify problems and determine appropriate repairs. Ability to work independently and manage assigned repair jobs efficiently. Experience performing preventive maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty commercial vehicles. Experience diagnosing and repairing semi trucks, 18-wheelers, Class 8 trucks, and commercial trailers. Experience with diesel engines, air brakes, electrical systems, A/C, and hydraulic systems. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. Experience performing mobile or roadside truck and trailer repairs preferred. Experience working with fleet or commercial trucking equipment preferred. Ability to read and understand repair manuals, service information, and diagnostic procedures. CDL is not required. Must have your own standard mechanic hand tools. Pay:
$33.00 - $37.00 per hour
