In this key role, you will perform diagnostics, routine maintenance, and major repairs on a diverse range of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment in a clean, safety-oriented shop. Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and system diagnostics on diesel engines, commercial trucks, and heavy equipment.

Utilize modern diagnostic software and electronic tools to identify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions.

Repair or replace defective engine components, transmissions, steering assemblies, suspensions, and air brake systems.

Conduct thorough test drives and operational checks after repairs to ensure safety, quality control, and peak performance.

Document repair work, parts used, and labor hours accurately in the shop management system.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workplace, strictly following shop protocols and safety standards.

Collaborate with service managers and shop teammates to ensure repair schedules and turnaround times are met.

Qualifications & Special Requirements:

Direct, hands-on experience troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing diesel engines.

2+ years of professional experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy truck technician preferred.

Familiarity with computer-based engine diagnostic tools and a comprehensive set of personal mechanic tools.

Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

High school diploma or equivalent; formal technical trade school training in Diesel Technology is a major plus.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Commercial Driver's License/CDL is a plus).

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods during shop shifts.
