Schedule and supervise activities of all assigned personnel Provide appropriate supervision to employees. Ensure all duties are performed in a timely manner Hire, train and evaluate personnel Establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors Follow up on additional work needed on any unit that leaves the shop for outside repairs Comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA guidelines Work within branch environment to increase sales, expand markets and promote business Assist with performing of difficult or complicated duties as necessary Plan and prepare work schedules and assign associates to specific duties Provide training to new and existing employees on: expectations of position, how to perform duties of position, company policies, safety and other areas as necessary Perform duties of each position if necessary and other tasks as directed by Area Manager Required to assist in mechanical duties as needed Maintain safe, clean and orderly work environment Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules Must be able to work extended hours when required All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 5 years hands-on medium and heavy duty diesel truck mechanic and supervisory experience Flexible with shifts, strong customer focus, meet scheduled deadlines Working knowledge of computer diagnostics and shop parts/maintenance software Mechanical skills required Effective leader with strong communication skills High school diploma or higher Ability to work flexible schedule, weekdays, some weekends as required CDL license preferred
