Shop Mechanic Overview:

The Shop Mechanic will perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of construction and industrial equipment.

Valid Drivers License with acceptable record. High School Diploma or GED. Training in a vocational school and/or on-the-job experience.

Experience:

Highly developed mechanical background with various construction or heavy equipment machinery experience. Specifically, in repairing hydraulics, electric systems, and diesel engines.

Shop Mechanic Responsibilities & Daily Duties:

Must be able to perform a variety of skilled duties which involve inspection, diagnosis, troubleshoot, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and repairs on general rental and/or high reach equipment. Service equipment as required to ensure proper operating conditions. Must be able to operate equipment such as booms, forklifts, compressors, generators, hydraulic/electrical tools, and related tools. Complete all required documentation, timesheets, checklist, and repair order longs in a timely manner. Conduct preventative maintenance as required. Other duties as assigned.
