In this energetic role, you'll leverage your mechanical expertise to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, construction machinery, industrial equipment, and more. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension, and HVAC systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and construction machinery to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently by analyzing mechanical problems through automotive diagnostics and electrical diagnostics procedures. Service and repair farm machinery, industrial equipment, heavy construction machinery, and other specialized vehicles with attention to detail and safety standards. Perform tire service, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, suspension work, and general assembly tasks to keep equipment operating at peak condition. Maintain detailed service records including shift reports, incident logs, inspection reports, and maintenance documentation for accountability and compliance. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics with a focus on construction machinery maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and air brakes. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical issues; proficient with diagnostic software tools. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of using various hand tools and power tools safely. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling tires or large components; excellent heavy equipment operation skills. Knowledge of OEM parts specifications for vehicle maintenance; familiarity with Caterpillar or similar brands is advantageous. Exceptional customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
