Covenant Trucking is looking for a reliable and experienced General Mechanic to join our in-shop team in Midland, Texas. The ideal candidate will have diesel truck experience, basic maintenance and repair knowledge, and experience working with oilfield trailers and equipment. Job Responsibilities Perform basic maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks Perform routine preventative maintenance Inspect trucks and trailers for mechanical issues Perform basic repairs and troubleshooting Assist with maintaining oilfield trailers and equipment Check and service brakes, tires, lights, suspension, and other components Identify mechanical issues and communicate necessary repairs Keep trucks, trailers, tools, and work areas clean and organized Follow all company safety procedures Qualifications Previous diesel truck experience required Experience performing basic truck maintenance and repairs Oilfield trailer experience preferred Basic knowledge of diesel truck systems Ability to identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues Ability to use common mechanic tools Reliable and dependable Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work independently Schedule & Hours Full-time position Overtime hours available What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent work Opportunity for growth Professional work environment
