This position requires both shop and field work, including travel to customer locations to troubleshoot and repair equipment safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working on large and small horsepower gas compression packages. Able to repair and troubleshoot engine, electrical controls and wiring, cooling system, and all internal components. Essential Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy industrial and oilfield equipment. Perform preventative maintenance and complete major overhauls on diesel engines and associated equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Service compression and engine equipment used in industrial operations. Travel to customer job sites to perform field service, emergency repairs, and equipment inspections. Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical drawings. Perform equipment inspections and identify maintenance or repair needs. Complete service reports, repair documentation, and work orders accurately. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Required Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience as a diesel or industrial equipment mechanic. Experience working on heavy industrial, oilfield, or compression equipment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently in both shop and field environments. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Willingness to travel for field service assignments. Preferred Qualifications Factory training or certifications from: Caterpillar (CAT) Waukesha Gemini Ariel GE Superior others Compressor maintenance and repair certification. Experience rebuilding industrial diesel engines. Knowledge of natural gas engines and compressor packages. Hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting experience. Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
