Essential Functions All diesel mechanic positions will be required to perform vehicle maintenance & repair duties safely and accurately in the shop and mobile in a fast-paced environment. Applicant must possess the highest level of honesty and integrity. You will diagnose and repair all makes and model class 1 to 8 trucks and trailers. Work is done at the shop or customer's location. Must have excellent communication skills, maintain good customer relationships, and possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Must be self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision. Applicant must have own tools, and pass a full back ground check prior to employment. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair truck and trailer maintenance problems. Repair class 1 to 8 engines, transmissions, air leaks, wheel assemblies, electrical, hvac, suspensions, and more. Perform preventative maintenance inspections of all trucks, tractors and trailers. Repair trailer doors, springs, panels, and lift gates. Ensure that all parts and labor are accurately charged. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance to OSHA & client standards. Possess a do whatever it takes attitude The job also requires being on-call evenings and weekends on a rotational basis Performs work by traveling independently to various locations as scheduled. Mobile & In-Shop. This position may require working at customer location full-time and shift could be starting at 6:30am. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques and practices. Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting methods. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Ability to work with power tools and industrial equipment safely.
