Mechanic B Overview:
Responsibilities include mechanical repairs, system maintenance (DPF, and daily inspections. The role also requires roadside repairs within 50 miles and after-hours availability.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Computer diagnosis. Diagnosis of mechanical failures and auxiliary systems. Brake Change, Brake Chamber, Airbags, Shock Absorbers. Oil Changes Oil Leak Repair Repair of air leaks. Knowledge of
DPF, DEF, A/C, ABS
systems. Knowledge of Cummins, Detroit, Volvo engines. Perform corrective maintenance on trailers and trucks. Perform Preventive Maintenance Inspections (PMI) on trucks and trailers. Perform physical-mechanical inspections of trailers and trucks daily. Make simple mechanical repairs and adjustments Capable of performing roadside repairs within a range of 50 miles. Skills to work in exposed environment. Maintain a work environment with Order and Cleanliness. Prepares and maintains simple records and reports. Perform brake and tire safety inspections Performs related work as required
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Relevant certifications are preferred. Minimum of 2-3 years of related experience. In lieu of certifications, additional years of directly relevant experience with a demonstrated record of successful performance may be considered.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Additional eligibility requirements:
Fluent in English and Spanish preferred. Experience with Cummins, Detroit, and Volvo engines is preferred. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and odd and unusual hours when needed.
