Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ford Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered Ford vehicles and heavy equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our Ford truck fleet. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of diverse machinery in a fast-paced environment. Your hands-on skills and mechanical knowledge will be vital in delivering exceptional service to our company and clients. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC systems, and electrical components using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other machinery. Fabricate parts and components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function. Repair and replace shocks & struts, brakes, tires, wheel alignments, and other critical vehicle systems to maintain safety standards. Assemble new equipment or machinery parts following technical specifications and schematics; perform equipment repair and preventive maintenance routines. Utilize heavy lifting techniques safely when handling large components or machinery; operate heavy equipment such as excavators or forklifts when required. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with the service provided. Experience Proven mechanic experience with dealership or heavy equipment repair environments preferred. Strong background in diesel engine repair with familiarity in automotive diagnostics and electrical systems. Hands-on experience working with Caterpillar, Ford diesel engines, or similar industrial equipment is highly desirable. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and assembly of mechanical parts. Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting complex systems such as hydraulics, air brakes, HVAC units, suspension systems, and transmissions. Experience operating heavy machinery like excavators or cranes is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or maintenance tasks.
