Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes and fluid checks to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using power tools, welding equipment, and hand tools to meet specific operational needs. Repair and service heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, cranes, forklifts, screeners, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers. Use computerized diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently troubleshoot electrical systems, HVAC units, and other mechanical components. Perform welding and fabrication tasks for structural repairs or modifications on heavy machinery. Assist with heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven experience working with heavy-duty machinery is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for precise troubleshooting and repairs. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and diagnostic devices. Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, cranes, and other industrial machinery. Skilled in fabrication techniques involving cutting, welding, assembly of parts or structures. Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients about repairs or maintenance needs.
