Starting salary will depend on experience. We service all makes and models including trailer repair within the Utah valley at customers location and at the shop location. Monday thru Friday schedule, with a bonus program and tool allowance. Diagnose mechanical failures and repair tractor and trailer components according to manufacturer specifications. Perform annual inspections, perform preventative maintenance, and recommend repairs to customers. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspensions, brakes, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment, and shock & strut replacements to maximize equipment lifespan. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues effectively. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques as needed. Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports. Collaborate with team members to perform equipment assembly or disassembly for repairs or upgrades in a timely manner. Skills Proven experience working as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic with dealership or industrial background preferred. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and brake systems. Skilled in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electronic testing tools; electrical experience is highly valued. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques and heavy lifting safely. Mechanical knowledge of automotive repair including tire service and wheel alignment; familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply
