Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including diesel engines, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery and develop your skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Whether you're performing routine maintenance or complex repairs, your mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills will be vital to keeping our operations running smoothly. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers Conduct preventive maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, alignment checks, and fluid top-offs to maximize equipment lifespan Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components accurately Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements Repair or replace vehicle components such as air brakes, shocks & struts, axles, and other critical systems ensuring compliance with safety standards Assist in assembly and disassembly of heavy machinery for repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols Perform heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment; maintain detailed service records and documentation of all work performed Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients or team members Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and heavy equipment maintenance Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific protocols and schematics Hands-on experience working with industrial equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting complex systems Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; comfortable working with power tools and hand tools for assembly or repair tasks Familiarity with hydraulic systems, air brake systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, and tire service procedures Ability to read schematics accurately for electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely in a fast-paced environment Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to explain technical issues effectively Join our team if you're passionate about maintaining top-tier machinery through expert diagnostics and repairs!
