This role is ideal for an experienced, all-around technician with diesel knowledge who is comfortable working independently and tackling a variety of mechanical, welding, and fabrication tasks.

This position starts part-time with a clear path to full-time employment as the company continues to grow. Fleet Information Current fleet of 14 vehicles 2 additional trucks scheduled to be added by Q2 2026 Mix of waste, service, and support vehicles Primary Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs on diesel and gas vehicles Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend repairs Welding and light fabrication (brackets, repairs, modifications, etc.) Perform preventative maintenance to keep vehicles road-ready Assist with inspections and prepare trucks for weekly operation Maintain a clean and safe work area Communicate vehicle condition and repair needs to management Work Environment Majority of work is performed outdoors No heated shop at this time Must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions Must have personal tools of the trade Schedule Requirements Part-time to start, with opportunity to move to full-time Must be available either Saturday or Sunday to prepare vehicles for Monday operations Flexible weekday scheduling may be available Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude; diesel experience preferred Welding and fabrication skills required Experience with fleet or heavy equipment maintenance is a plus Self-motivated and dependable Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver's license preferred Compensation & Growth Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Part-time with opportunity for full-time employment Long-term advancement opportunities as fleet expands Stable company with steady work and growth plans Why Work With Us Established local company with 33 years in business Growing fleet and expanding operations Practical, no-nonsense work environment Opportunity to grow with the company long-term
