Job Description
McClain & Co in Culpeper, VA has immediate equipment and diesel truck mechanics openings for our Underbridge, Hi-Rail and Traffic Control Rental fleet division. As a Diesel Truck Mechanic , you will be essential in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Reporting to the Service Manager, your core skills in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and vehicle maintenance will be vital. You will utilize your expertise in hydraulics and air brake systems, along with your relevant experience in customer service and heavy lifting. With a focus on quality workmanship, you will contribute to the efficiency of our operations and support our commitment to excellence in service delivery. Full-time employment with overtime opportunities! Applicant must be able to work with minimal supervision, have own tools, valid driver's license, and a reliable means of transportation. Experience with electric over hydraulics is a plus! Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel trucks, focusing on mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, and air brakes. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and equipment to execute repairs and alignments accurately. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and enhance service efficiency. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle status and recommendations. Benefits Excellent starting hourly rate.
