Heavy Equipment and Diesel Mechanic Lorton, VA 22079 Up to $60 an hour - Full-time Up to $60 an hour - Full-time Experienced heavy equipment and diesel truck mechanic needed for company in Lorton. Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required Ability to speak fluent English is required Competitive salary, PAID

JOB DESCRIPTION
Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identify worn and damaged parts Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components and parts. Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs. Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; informing supervisor of needed repairs.
