CDL Diesel Mechanic job responsibilities include: Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions Repair, reline, replace & adjust brakes Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined & other potentially troublesome areas Plan work procedures using charts, technical manuals & experience Communicate with driver to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services Repair manual & automatic transmissions Replace & adjust headlights Comply with all safety, DOT & OSHA guidelines Adhere to company rules & regulations Ensure cleanliness of shop & surrounding areas Advantages & benefits: Uniforms/ safety shoe program Pay is negotiable and varies based on location and experience Employee referral bonuses Company sponsored skills training with pay increases!
