A long-established moving company is hiring a Diesel Fleet Mechanic in Woodbridge, VA to maintain and repair diesel and gas trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment. Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance, computer diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a mixed fleet of diesel and gas equipment, including newer model trucks. Maintain tractors, straight trucks, box trucks, vans, trailers, pickups, and related equipment used in daily moving operations. Use diagnostic tools and OEM software to identify faults, troubleshoot modern truck systems, and support accurate repairs. Inspect vehicles, address driver-reported issues, and help keep equipment safe, reliable, and ready for dispatch. Document completed repairs, dates, mileage, parts, and work performed to support fleet records, state inspections, and DOT compliance. Organize daily repair priorities while coordinating with operations on scheduling, parts, and equipment downtime.
