Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role requires expertise in trucks and equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily shop operations and activities to ensure efficiency, productivity and safety. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the fleet of trucks and equipment. Conduct diagnostics to identify mechanical issues and implement effective solutions. Operate heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or maintenance tasks. Execute welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities. Document all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles to maintain accurate records. Collaborate with other technicians to enhance team efficiency and knowledge sharing. Experience High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or degree in diesel technology preferred. Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, including troubleshooting, use of diagnostic software. Familiarity with air brake systems. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
