Experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic - Swing Shift

Diesel Truck Mechanic - Experienced Vancouver, WA Job Duties and Responsibilities Truck Mechanic is responsible for performing major servicing and repairs on a variety of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems for fleet of trucks. Work may also be performed in the field and in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and thorough, and organized and neat with paperwork. This job is swing shift although hours may vary at times. Job is located in Vancouver, WA. Salary negotiable depending on experience.

Duties:

Must be willing and able to perform the following tasks: We are willing to train the right individual! Diagnose and repair all types of issues for fleet of trucks and trailers Troubleshoot, repair and/or replace ignition, fuel, hydraulic, lighting, electrical/computer control systems Repair/ Rebuild engines, transmissions, differentials, hydraulic cylinders, axle groups, etc Perform welding and fabrication on mobile and stationary plant equipment as needed Maintain service, maintenance and repair records Repair and maintain tools and machinery Qualifications Must pass pre-employment drug screen High School diploma or GED General mechanical aptitude Diesel experience, vocational school or training a plus Familiarity with air brakes and air systems Basic welding and fabrication skills Have some basic hand tools Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift 75 pounds Able to climb ladders and work from aerial platform Safe operation of each machine maintaining situational awareness at all times Benefits Competitive Salary PTO Community Involvement Excellent work environment Team Building Events Annual Company Events Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, AFLAC Flexible Spending Accounts 401K with Employer contribution As an equal opportunity employer Dietrich Trucking Corporation will hire without consideration to race, religion, creed, color, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status or disability.
