Job Overview Are you a passionate and skilled Agricultural Diesel Mechanic ready to take on a dynamic role in maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment? In this vital position, you'll be the go-to expert for diagnosing, servicing, and restoring a wide variety of industrial and heavy machinery. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems and electrical systems using schematics and advanced diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, skid steers, tractors, farm machinery and industrial equipment. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using welding, cutting tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure optimal performance. Replace or repair powertrain components, HVAC systems, and other mechanical systems to maintain safety standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly, disassembly, repairs, and equipment maintenance tasks. Follow detailed service procedures based on schematics and technical manuals to ensure precise repairs. Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs performed while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with dealership or industrial equipment background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, suspension systems, and vehicle maintenance. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery is highly desirable. Ability to read schematics accurately and interpret technical manuals for complex repairs. Skilled in welding, fabrication (including soldering) and heavy lifting techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Valid certifications in automotive repair or heavy equipment mechanics are a plus; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
