In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and service diesel engines, heavy machinery, and various vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting everything from transportation to construction and farm machinery. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical systems using schematics and automotive electrical system repair techniques. Conduct preventive maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and industrial machinery to maximize uptime and efficiency. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to assemble, repair, or modify equipment components as needed. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving powertrains, air brake systems, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and vehicle systems for trucks and farm machinery. Conduct tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, and heavy lifting operations safely and efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs accurately to ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members to perform equipment maintenance and repairs swiftly while providing excellent customer service to internal clients. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background working with heavy equipment mechanics is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability in fabricating parts or modifications using welding and metalworking skills. Hands-on experience operating excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, or other heavy machinery in industrial or farm settings. Strong knowledge of schematics for electrical wiring and mechanical systems repair across various vehicle types. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools for troubleshooting diesel engine issues and vehicle system failures. Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and HVAC systems is essential. Prior service technician experience with heavy truck repair or automotive electrical system repair will be advantageous.
