Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various heavy equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure that all machinery operates safely and efficiently. Duties Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques. Assemble and disassemble engine components as needed for repairs. Operate heavy equipment to test functionality after repairs are completed. Perform air brake system inspections and repairs. Work with hydraulics to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of projects. Skills Proficient in diesel engine repair with hands-on experience. Strong mechanical skills, including the ability to assemble and disassemble machinery components. Experience operating heavy equipment safely and effectively. Knowledge of air brake systems and their maintenance requirements. Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their troubleshooting techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment.
