Job Description

EnerStar Solutions provides customized rental and service solutions for industries operating in some of the most demanding environments across North America. From power generation and communications to accommodations, matting, water management, logistics, and jobsite support, we help our customers stay productive and connected. We are seeking an experienced Generator Technician (Diesel & Electrical) to join our team in Wright, Wyoming. This position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel generators, light towers, trailers, and power distribution equipment that support customer operations throughout the region. If you enjoy solving mechanical and electrical problems, working independently, and supporting critical equipment in the field, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel generators and related power generation equipment. Troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, alternators, transfer switches, switchgear, controls, and power distribution systems. Respond to emergency service calls and equipment breakdowns. Complete major repairs, rebuilds, and overhauls on generators and support equipment. Perform maintenance and repairs on trailers, lighting systems, and support equipment. Maintain accurate service records, inspection documentation, and work orders. Coordinate parts needs and inventory requirements to ensure equipment readiness. Support field deployments, equipment setup, and customer operations as needed. Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements. Preferred Experience We are interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following: Generator Technician Generator Mechanic Diesel Mechanic Heavy Equipment Technician Field Service Technician Power Generation Technician Rental Equipment Technician Experience with equipment manufacturers such as Cummins, CAT, Generac, Kohler, Multiquip, or similar equipment is considered an asset. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of mechanical, diesel, generator, heavy equipment, or power generation experience. Strong diesel engine troubleshooting and repair skills. Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must be at least 25 years of age at the time of hire. Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Ability to travel as needed to support customer operations. Preferred Certifications in diesel, mechanical, electrical, small engine, or related trades. Experience working in oil and gas, mining, power generation, rental equipment, or industrial service environments. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of diesel engines, generators, alternators, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with operations, logistics, and field teams. Commitment to safe work practices and regulatory compliance. Physical Requirements This position regularly requires employees to: Lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Climb ladders and access elevated work areas. Push and pull equipment, tools, and materials. Stand and walk for extended periods. Reach overhead and below waist level. Operate hand and power tools. Work around moving mechanical equipment. Safely operate company vehicles and trailers. Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions common to Wyoming field operations. Travel Requirements This position requires travel throughout Wyoming and surrounding operating areas to support customer locations and company operations. Travel to other EnerStar locations may also be required.
