S eeking Transformer Technicians for direct hire, long-term roles with one of the fastest-growing industrial electrical service contractors in the nation, known for delivering high-quality transformer maintenance, electrical testing, electrical construction and distribution system solutions in
Tampa and Ocala, FL Pay :
$40/h-$60/h depending on experience or let us know what you desire

Travel:
25% across States. Majority of work is in FL. All expenses are paid and there are per diem! If applicable, there is vehicle allowance, and gas card Key Responsibilities for Transformer Technician Inspect and service transformer components including housing, grounding, bushings, tanks, oil levels, cooling fans, oil pumps, vibrations, air movement, noise levels, anchors, positioning, radiator fins, ground resistors, tap change settings, loads, asset labeling, name plates, ARC and PCB labels, and security locks.
Perform repairs and replacements:
bushing, gaskets, taps, housing, radiators, and fans. Refill and verify proper tank oil levels. Remove and replace transformers, install precast concrete slabs, underground conduits, grounding rods, and terminate feeders and lugs. Conduct oil processing for FR3 and mineral oil insulated transformers, including moisture, gas, and contaminant removal. Perform medium to high voltage transformer testing, including insulation and winding tests. Qualifications for
Transformer Technician:
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with transformer installation, testing, or maintenance. Strong familiarity with oil-filled, dry-type, and pad-mounted transformers. Understanding of NETA, IEEE, and ANSI standards related to transformer servicing. Preferred experience in standard insulation and winding testing.
