Job Description

Join a leading provider of critical power solutions as a UPS Technician III (Travel), supporting clients in the Atlanta, GA area and beyond. This role offers the opportunity to work with advanced Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems and battery systems, ensuring reliable power for essential operations. As a key member of the technical services team, you will perform installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, while collaborating with contractors, partners, and clients to deliver projects on time and within budget. This position is ideal for experienced technicians seeking a dynamic work environment with opportunities to lead, mentor, and grow their technical expertise. Responsibilities Perform startups, certifications, preventative maintenance, and scheduled maintenance on UPS and battery systems. Install, troubleshoot, repair, start up, and commission all types of UPS systems independently. Lead projects with multiple crew members, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met. Communicate effectively with general contractors, subcontractors, partners, and clients to ensure project success. Operate equipment such as UPS systems, battery systems, PDUs, ATS, and AC/DC rectifiers. Assess manpower and material requirements for maintenance and installation services. Estimate consumables and connectivity parts needed for project completion. Monitor crew safety and productivity, taking action when necessary to maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Foster a positive team environment and mentor less experienced technicians. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with internal teams and clients. Regular and reliable attendance is required. Perform other duties as assigned by Services Management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3 to 5 years of experience servicing UPS systems, including installation and maintenance. Experience with electrical and mechanical systems related to UPS, DC systems, and major OEMs (e.g., Eaton, Mitsubishi, Schneider, APC, GE, Emerson). Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, amp clamps, phase rotation meters, power quality analyzers, IR cameras, and oscilloscopes. Knowledge of AC/DC theory, electronic components, and circuitry. Competency in series, parallel, and series-parallel connections. Understanding of torque values, torque-mark application, and visual inspection of installations. Ability to operate safely and use appropriate PPE, including arc-flash suits. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel). OSHA 30-hour certification.

Safety Training. Thermography Level 2 or higher certification. US Citizenship required.
Offered compensation:
