Water Infrastructure Technician Accelera - 3.5 Cedar Park, TX Job Details Full-time $18.05 - $23.10 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Safety protocol adherence Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description About the Role As a Water Infrastructure Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of essential water distribution systems. You will utilize heavy machinery and specialized tools to perform critical repairs, ensuring reliable service delivery for the community while gaining valuable experience in utility operations. Responsibilities Execute repairs on water and sewer infrastructure by excavating trenches, installing shoring, and managing site restoration. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on utility lines using hydro-jets, routers, and manual tools to ensure optimal flow. Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, dump trucks, and pump trucks to support field operations. Perform utility line locates and monitor pressure gauges at lift stations and booster stations to maintain system performance. Install new main feeders and service lines to expand and improve distribution capacity. Conduct water quality testing, including chlorine analysis, to ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain facility grounds and perform emergency site management, such as clearing debris and installing safety barricades during inclement weather. Required Skills High school diploma or GED, or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy utility equipment. Capability to perform physical tasks in various environments, including confined spaces. Strong communication skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately. Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards. Preferred Skills Experience with electronic leak detection systems and acoustic sounding equipment. Proficiency in equipment troubleshooting and general maintenance of utility systems. Knowledge of aerial and utility equipment systems. Willingness to pursue professional certifications, such as a CDL-A, with employer support.
