Summary:
This role is an ideal starting point for someone with a passion for mechanical work who wants to turn that interest into a career. The Dyno Technician will gain practical, hands-on experience operating dyno equipment and supporting the transmission production process, working closely with experienced builders in a fast-paced shop environment. You'll play a key role on the quality control team, helping make sure units meet our standards before they ship to the customer.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Learn how dynamometer equipment works and how to use it. Perform setup and basic operation of the dynamometer. Stay current on technical training and apply knowledge to daily tasks. Help build and set up tests for new transmission types. Test and verify finished transmissions meet quality standards before they ship to customers. Manage your time well and stay on top of daily tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Learn and understand the flow of production and basic production procedures. Communicate directly with transmission builders regarding specific unit questions. Follow all health and safety rules and guidelines.
Requirements:
Preferred Education and Experience:
Prior experience in technical and/or mechanical fields preferred. Comfortable using a computer for basic tasks.
Knowledge and Personal Attributes:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Able to stand for long periods, work in a noisy shop environment, operate machinery and power tools, and lift up to 50 pounds. Able to use your hands to inspect and adjust equipment.
