Semiconductor Field Service Engineer
Nampa, Idaho - We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. Following 2-3 weeks of training in Scottsdale, AZ, you will provide onsite and remote support for semiconductor metrology equipment. In this role, you'll troubleshoot technical issues, perform installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance, and serve as a trusted partner to our customers. The position requires frequent travel, flexibility, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Job Description Temporary relocation to Scottsdale, Arizona 2-3 weeks for training. Field service engineer will offer onsite technical support or over phone and emails. The Field Service Engineer troubleshoots either to resolve issues directly or through referring advanced issues to technical support at HQ. He/she acts as a customer service advocate, instructing customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. The work is in a fast-paced environment, travels frequently and occasionally required to be accessible evenings, weekends, and even holidays to resolve any issues that might result in downtime for customer. The chosen individual will work well with limited guidance and within broad guidelines and technical standards.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Duties And Responsibilities Analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots semiconductor metrology equipment problems via telephone, email, at customer site. Performs installation, repair, retrofits, upgrades and preventive maintenance on Semiconductor metrology equipment installed at customer sites or supporting manufacturing efforts at customer site Answer customer questions and assist customer in a professional manner and expediently escalate issues to supporting resources when necessary. Perform administrative and coordination duties, including pass-downs, work orders, field service reports, system problem reports, and monthly reports. Prepare written technical reports ad documentation on an independent basis. Complies with company and customer policies and procedures.WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Key Strengths Ability to apply knowledge of installation, maintenance/repair, and troubleshooting at both the assembly and system level, while seeking expertise of more senior field service engineers when required. Ability to read and analyze Opto-mechanical and electronic schematics This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and the ability to work under pressure. Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and semiconductor processes, and relevant software. The individual must be flexible, adaptable and possess a high sense of integrity. They must respect and enforce the confidential aspects of their work. They will work effectively with cross functional teams and have excellent problem solving, communication and organizational skills. Demonstrate experience using computer applications, including data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.PERSONAL SKILLS

Education & Experience Minimum of two (2) years' Semiconductor experience is preferred, of which a minimum of one (1) year experience in and/or semiconductor metrology equipment Advanced level of technical knowledge of electronics in the semiconductor industry Technical proficiency with Semiconductor metrology equipment, plasma and/or vacuum systems is preferred. Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, and semiconductor processes, and relevant software. AA or BS Degree in electronics field or its equivalent military, or semiconductor experience Demonstrate experience using computer applications, word processing, spreadsheets with strong computer skills on Apple and/or Microsoft platform Ability to manage multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlinesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a cleanroom environment, routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
