Job Description

Our client in Boise, Idaho is currently hiring for a Field / Commissioning Technician. This is a contract opportunity supporting water treatment operations at customer sites, including semiconductor facilities. The role requires travel within the U.S. and Canada and hands‑on field service and commissioning experience. Pay
  • $26.00 to $32.00 per hour depending on experience, technical skills, and relevant field service experience Location
  • Boise, Idaho Schedule
  • Standard Monday
  • Friday (40 hours per week) Travel
  • 11% to 49% Responsibilities
  • Makes routine rounds of the facility to ensure equipment is operating properly
  • Loads and unloads chemicals following established procedures
  • Stages, changes out, and maintains filtration systems
  • Monitors system parameters and performance indicators
  • Responds to system alarms, troubleshoots issues, and adjusts systems to support waste‑processing operations
  • Performs weekly and monthly safety inspections
  • Collects water samples from multiple facility locations and tests/analyzes water quality
  • Installs and replaces consumable parts as scheduled or as needed
  • Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and sub‑assemblies
  • Maintains accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Performs housekeeping duties including hosing down surfaces and removing trash or leak pads
  • Enters operational data into computer systems to generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Records readings from facility rounds and compiles data into spreadsheets
  • Reviews blueprints, plans, specifications, and technical documentation prior to system startup or service activities
  • Completes service reports, repair records, warranty documentation, and maintenance logs within required timeframes
  • Properly documents, labels, processes, and returns defective parts from service or commissioning work
  • Works with engineering, project management, production, field sales, and management teams to resolve technical issues
  • Interfaces with customers to support operations and service activities
  • Organizes and maintains parts storage areas and warehouse inventory
  • Seeks opportunities to improve efficiency, cost, and workflow
  • Communicates effectively with supervisors, office staff, and external contacts
  • Supports special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment and follows all company policies and procedures
  • Available to cover shifts with appropriate notice Qualification Requirements
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of experience in field service, commissioning, or a related technical role
  • Prior experience performing field service installations, commissioning, and electrical wiring
  • Mechanical service experience preferred
  • HVAC installation or service experience preferred
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Proficiency using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to travel as required Disqualifiers
  • Inability to travel 11% to 49% of the time
  • No hands‑on field service or commissioning experience
