• Full-time We are looking to hire a skilled Field Service Technician with experience in industrial maintenance.

This job is working with industrial air compressors and dryers, but other industrial maintenance or HVAC experience is highly desirable. Pay dependent on experience. The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision within well-defined guidelines. All work is local, north Alabama. After 90 day probationary period employee will be eligible for a company vehicle, company cell phone, and fuel card. Pay weekly! Field Service Technicians will maintain a professional appearance and communication skills to interface with clients and create a plan for resolution of service issues. The successful applicant will be required to travel to various businesses to perform repairs and scheduled maintenance on various types of industrial air compressors.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair equipment Be thorough in diagnosing problems troubleshooting. Use common hand tools to repair equipment. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts and materials used, and in recording data about the systems you are servicing. Learn new technologies and techniques in the field. Perform regularly scheduled preventative maintenance services including inspections, lubrication and adjustments. Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning air compressors and dryers. Determine cause for malfunction and perform repairs. Responsible for installations of industrial air compressors and dryers. Measure, test and inspect completed work to confirm adherence to specifications. Follow proper safety procedures and comply with company & customer site policies. Follow good housekeeping practices and maintain an organized work environment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals and work orders. Understand and follow oral and written directions. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers. Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, push, pull and climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds on occasion; maneuver heavier objects with assistance. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including dust masks, gloves and/or clothing during performance of assigned duties in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations. Must be able to work in various industrial and outdoor environments.

Requirements/Skills:

Must provide own tools. Must be available for occasional overtime and weekends when necessary. Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug test. Must be able to work individually and as a team.

Qualifications:

Experience in mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, electrical and electronics, controls, and troubleshooting. Refrigeration/HVAC experience desired. Must be able to understand, read and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
