Job Description

Water Mitigation / Demo / Restoration Technician Skinner Plumbing & Restoration (Skinner and Son LLC) Skinner Plumbing & Restoration is seeking an experienced Water Mitigation / Demo / Restoration Technician to join our growing restoration team. This is a hands-on field position for someone who has prior experience with water damage mitigation, demolition, drying equipment, and restoration work. Previous water mitigation or restoration experience is required. Responsibilities Respond to residential and commercial water damage projects. Perform water extraction, demolition, and removal of damaged building materials. Remove drywall, insulation, baseboards, flooring, cabinets, and other affected materials as required. Set up containment and protect unaffected areas of the property. Set up, monitor, reposition, and remove air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other drying equipment. Assist with moisture mapping and documenting affected areas. Perform job-site cleanup and proper disposal of demolition materials. Assist with restoration and reconstruction work following mitigation. Take clear job-site photos and maintain accurate project documentation. Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, project managers, and other team members. Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized condition. Follow company safety procedures and industry-standard mitigation practices. Participate in after-hours and emergency water-loss response when scheduled. Required Qualifications Prior water mitigation, restoration, or water-damage experience is required. Experience with demolition and removal of water-damaged building materials. Working knowledge of air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, moisture meters, and related mitigation equipment. Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized job site. Professional appearance and communication skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting equipment and materials and working in varying job-site conditions.
IICRC WRT
certification is preferred but not required for the right experienced candidate. What We're Looking For We are looking for a dependable, motivated technician who understands that water mitigation requires fast response, proper documentation, attention to detail, and professional customer service . The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, communicates well, and can move efficiently from emergency mitigation and demolition into the restoration phase of a project. Why Join Us? Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
