This position involves monitoring, inspecting, and completing tasks related to drying, demolition, and various restoration activities. Technicians are responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of each job, preparing necessary documentation, and explaining processes to customers.
Job Responsibilities Work Order Management:
Retrieve and review work orders, plan travel routes, and ensure that the appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded onto the truck. Arrive at job sites in a timely manner.Customer Interaction:
Explain the restoration processes and next steps to customers in person, using printed materials as guides. Address any customer concerns and provide clear, understandable information.Job Completion:
Complete assigned restoration jobs following company processes. Maintain quality control throughout each job to ensure customer satisfaction and effective restoration.Water Damage Repair:
Perform tasks such as water extraction, pack-out of contents, disposal of non-salvageable materials, and light construction or demolition as directed by the supervisor.Equipment and Vehicle Management:
Handle equipment, supplies, and vehicles properly. Report any equipment malfunctions or damages to the supervisor promptly.Inspection and Approval:
Inspect completed jobs, obtain customer signatures for approval, and request payments when necessary.Monitoring and Adjustments:
Monitor daily tasks and job progress, making adjustments to drying plans based on meter readings as needed. Act with urgency to address any issues that arise.Documentation:
Prepare and review documentation, including notes and photos, according to company policies to ensure proper reimbursement from insurance companies.Communication:
Resolve customer issues and communicate daily job activities with the supervisor and key company staff.Job Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.Experience:
Experience in the restoration or construction industry is preferred but not required.Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record. Certifications such as WTR (Water Damage Restoration Technician) and ASD (Applied Structural Drying Technician) are preferred but not required.Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to use mobile software for data entry. Capability to read and follow product label usage instructions.Professionalism:
Must report to work on time, in a clean, complete uniform, and be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.Physical Demands and Working Conditions Lifting:
Must be able to move up to 70 pounds frequently through lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or repositioning objects.Movement:
Requires standing, walking, lifting, squatting, crawling, and crouching for extended periods.Communication:
Ability to quickly exchange ideas, receive, and act on detailed information.Safety Equipment:
Must be able to properly wear respirators when necessary, for safety reasons.Visual Acuity:
Use visual skills for detail-oriented tasks.Working Conditions:
Exposure to varied environments, including inside and outside conditions with or without air conditioning and heating. This role demands a blend of technical skills, customer service, and physical endurance, ensuring effective water restoration and customer satisfaction.Job Type:
