Field Electrician - Belmont Electric Glendale, AZ | Residential | 1099 Contract-to-Hire, with a Fast Path to Full-Time About Belmont Electric At Belmont Electric, we don't just wire homes — we build trust. The Opportunity This role starts as a 90-day 1099 contract — a trial run that lets you and Belmont Electric confirm it's the right fit before moving to full-time W-2 employment with benefits. You'll work independently in the field, running your own truck (with or without a helper), serving residential customers across the local area. For the right person, this is a long-term career, not a temporary gig. Reliable, professional electricians who take pride in their craft have a clear path to advancement here. What You'll Do Install, troubleshoot, and maintain residential electrical systems to the highest standard Handle wiring, circuit testing, panel work, and full system inspections Work in all conditions, including attics, crawl spaces, and high-heat environments (this is a physical, hands-on role, and heat exposure comes with the territory — come prepared) Ensure strict adherence to NEC codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards Test and operate electrical equipment with precision and care Document all completed work using our mobile CRM app Communicate clearly and professionally with the office team, field supervisors, and customers Drive safely to job sites with all required tools and equipment on board Represent Belmont Electric with professionalism in every customer interaction What You Bring 3-5 years of hands-on residential electrical experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (drivers 25+ preferred) Clean background check — non-negotiable, since our customers trust us in their homes Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals Fluent written and spoken English — clear communication is core to our 5-star service standard Comfortable with smartphones, mobile apps, and CRM software for field reporting Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently Excellent time management and reliability — on time, every time High school diploma or equivalent Our Values Culture is everything at Belmont Electric.
