electrical equipment handling Refrigeration Equipment maintenance Equipment testing Hand tools Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing mechanical service and dairy equipment install and repairs for all United Dairymen of Arizona producers.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Performs other duties as assigned. Keep accurate and legible records. Adhere to all UDA quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity. Adhere to all UDA safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity. Adhere to all UDA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Travel Requirements Minimal Qualifications:
General Skills & Abilities needed to complete job successfully: Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be comfortable working with and around livestock. Effective problem analysis and problem resolution skills. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals. PLC and process controllers helpful. Mechanical experience with drives, pumps boilers, air compressors, etc. Electrical experience 120, 240 & 480 volt systems. Must have commercial Freon refrigeration systems experience. Must be able to use technical manual and testing equipment. Must be familiar with dairy product concepts, practices and procedures. Strong knowledge of all aspects of a dairy. Must be able to make decisions impacting products and safety based on independent judgment and discretion. Must provide personal hand tools. Must be able to work with minimal direction and to be self-motivated. Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions. Shift work required, willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Experience:
(required) Minimum of 2 years in dairy maintenance or equivalent experience. Education/Certifications (Required): Must have High School Diploma, or equivalent Must have a clean driving record to drive a company vehicle Work Environment & Demands Physical and environmental demands for this position are indicated below: Occasional bending, crouching, stooping, twisting, reaching and grasping Standing and walking for extended periods of time Ability to climb stairs Some lifting, up to 150 pounds
