Position Summary Conhagen is seeking a Lead Field Technician to perform advanced field service activities involving the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of rotating equipment at customer sites and within shop environments. This position provides technical leadership during field service activities by independently performing complex mechanical work, supporting job execution, mentoring technicians, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to customer and company standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and perform field service activities involving rotating equipment installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. Inspect, disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, gearboxes, blowers, and related equipment. Perform equipment inspections, precision measurements, alignment checks, and dimensional evaluations. Identify equipment issues, determine repair requirements, and recommend corrective actions. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, and technical documentation. Perform mechanical repairs using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and customer service activities. Complete accurate service reports, inspection records, and repair documentation. Provide technical direction, coaching, and support to Field Technicians and less experienced employees. Coordinate field activities to support safe and efficient completion of assigned work. Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, engineers, and project teams. Maintain compliance with company safety policies, customer requirements, and HSE procedures. Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 5 years of experience in field service, mechanical repair, rotating equipment, or industrial maintenance preferred. Experience independently troubleshooting and repairing industrial rotating equipment. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specifications. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers. Ability to provide technical direction and support to other technicians. Ability to travel to customer sites as required. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading field service activities or serving as a senior technician. Experience repairing pumps, turbines, compressors, motors, gearboxes, blowers, or similar rotating equipment. Experience with precision alignment, inspections, balancing, vibration analysis, or equipment testing. Experience working in power generation, oil and gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, or industrial environments. Technical training, apprenticeship, military mechanical training, or equivalent hands-on experience. TWIC card or ability to obtain one. OSHA or industrial safety certifications. Why Join Conhagen? Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate machining equipment and hand tools. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and work around industrial equipment. Work Environment Climate-controlled machine shop environment. Moderate noise levels typical of industrial machining operations. Overtime may be required based on customer and business demands.
