A Field Service Technician services and repairs equipment and machines in a variety of customer locations such as residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Workers in this field can specialize in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of industrial, hardware, construction or electronic equipment just to name a few. These roles may work in a variety of remote locations and can travel up to multiple locations in a day.
The Electrical Mechanical Field Service Technician provides onsite value to our customers through quality customer service and upholding the Company's standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity. As part of the Operations Maintenance team, you will have the opportunity to install, maintain and repair proprietary automated agricultural packaging equipment. The ideal candidate is experienced in maintaining mechanical/electrical systems, is self-motivated, maintains a friendly, professional attitude, and can work well in both team and individual environments. Salary is commensurate with experience and skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain mechanical/electrical equipment in optimal working order. Investigate, research, and solve equipment-related problems. Manage On-Site Spare Parts and Material Inventories, ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged, reconciled, and reported in a timely manner. Prepare daily, monthly, and seasonal equipment maintenance and complete reports on performance metrics. Establish and adjust work schedule to meet customer demands and maximize workflow efficiency. Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service. Enforce Company safety regulations. Maintain strong communication with customer, other team members, and business office.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical machinery maintenance. Knowledge of Electro-Mechanical and/or Automated machinery is preferred (i.e., conveyors, photo-eyes, PLCs) Must be able to read programmable controller logic and other software programs. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Outlook, Excel. Must be willing to travel between company systems - primarily within the Oxnard area. Must be able to work independently. Have a strong sense of urgency; the ability to meet deadlines. Strong problem solving and organizational skills. Demonstrates mature-minded approach to business. Must be flexible with work hours as may be required by production and on-call demands. Valid California Driver's License and automobile insurance. Extended periods of time sitting or standing.
