Job Description

Maintex, a family-owned chemical manufacturer and distributor for the cleaning industry, located in Poway, is currently seeking a full-time Field Service Specialist to work on our Equipment Service Team. About This Role Join Maintex as a Field Service Specialist and become part of a team committed to safety and excellence. In this hands-on role, you'll travel to customer facilities to maintain and repair critical equipment, ensuring our clients' operations run smoothly. This position offers the independence of field work combined with direct customer interaction and technical problem-solving.
What You'll Do Equipment Maintenance & Repair:
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems, and combustion engine problems on floor cleaning machines and liquid dispensing systems
Installation Services:
Install and repair chemical dilution stations, paper dispensers, soap dispensers, and various other dispensing equipment
Customer Service:
Work directly with customers at their facilities, providing professional service and technical expertise
Vehicle Operations:
Operate company van to travel between customer sites, conducting daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections
Safety Compliance:
Follow all OSHA requirements, safety protocols, and company standards while handling equipment and chemical systems
Documentation:
Report mechanical defects and maintain accurate service records
What We're Looking For Education & Licensing:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required Trade School certification preferred Valid Class C driver's license with 100% clean driving record Experience Required (Minimum 3 Years): Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems Using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Combustion engine troubleshooting and repair Customer service in field service environments Working on powered industrial equipment (forklifts, electric pallet jacks)
Technical Knowledge:
Working understanding of HAZMAT, SDS, and OSHA requirements Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to diagnose, maintain, repair, modify, and install machinery
